★Yelp“Best. Omakase. Ever. Not just in Miami! Experienced chefs, excellent quality, great value. I must say the portion is on the smaller side but that means you can try even more pieces! This is the only place I'd eat in the design district!”

★Yelp“I came from San Diego and was looking for a good hummus place. I was very impressed with the great service and with the amazing food! I ordered the hummus with shawarma and it came in a beautiful impressive display tray! I highly recommend it and definitely be back to eat there!”

◉TripAdvisor“Authentic Israeli food owned by an Israeli. My husband is from Israel and he was impressed to find such authentic Israeli food in Miami! We had the cauliflower and eggplant as well as mezze platter. We felt we’re back on the street of Tel Aviv! All the food was flavored with middle eastern style spices. Hummus and tahini were fresh and tasty!”

◉TripAdvisor“Excellent ceviche and a HUGE portion! I got the classic ceviche. My friend got chipotle chicken tacos and said they were delicious as well. I got my ceviche mild only because it was so hot out and I was already working up a sweat, but you can order it medium or hot, which I'd have done on another day. It wasn't overly acidic, and it tasted nice and fresh.”

★Yelp“Wow, we went for the Israeli Salad and Chicken Shawarma. This is a healthy food choice place. They also welcome Vegans too. The Chicken Shawarma and Israeli Salad is FIRE. I love the taste, but me and my girl eat this salad all the time. Her mom makes good Israeli Salad to since this is here heritage cooking. Anyhow, nice owners and employees. We really felt welcomed here. I will be back again.”

★Yelp“Dinner tonight waz fire.com. i tried their aji amarillo ceviche, cilantro ceviche and a variety of tacos. The food here is rediculously fresh for a food court. Nothing is made until you order it. Their ceviche is so amazing. A combination of fish, octopus, shrimp in A) yellow pepper sauce B) cilantro sauce topped with red onion, homony and cancha (crunchy peruvian corn). They are $16 and so worth it. The tacos on tuesday are $3 and so delightful. I highly suggest this killer joint.”

★Yelp“Sushi Yasu Tanaka is the place to go to when you are visiting MDD in Miami and want to try something authentic and fresh. I had friends visiting from Europe and it was an absolute hit for them and for me. We went for lunch and the staff was very welcoming and helpful with our orders. I had the bowl with half & half rice/salad, tuna, salmon … so delicious. For appetizer we had, sashimi and ceviche, if we could lick the plate we would 🤤 unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of that. Definitely recommend this place, specially in the summer refreshing and light.”

GGoogle“Jaffa, one of the vendors at St. Roch Market... Impressive quality and taste. They made fresh falafels, hummus, and all the good middle eastern style fixings generously stuffed into a warm housemade pita. I recommend trying their Falafel pita sandwich. My friend ordered a side of hummus for herself, which of course I wanted to try even though I already had hummus in my sandwich. Ha! I like that it came with a topping of whole chickpeas. Very nice! The "Limonana" is their version of a lemonade (natch) blended with mint leaves. Perfect on a especially hot Miami summer day. Great service. They told us it would take about 20mins before we placed our order and brought our food and drinks to our table.”

★Yelp“Hands down one of the BEST sushi spots in miami. I waited a while to write a review simply because I wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself. Whenever chef runs out of his super fresh, high quality fish, he closes for the day. And the more people know about this spot, the more likely he's going to run out of supplies so.... Chef Tanaka is the real deal. His dedication to his craft is reflected in every dish he serves. And I don't know anyone as nice and deserving as him and his family. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, really. Everything is exquisite. And the fish is melt in your mouth, buttery fresh. He brings in awesome variety from all over (local and Japan) and is always changing things up to keep it interesting. Which is nice for us locals who come to see him often! Yes, he has a following of locals because he's that good and his food is that incredible. If you know about Japanese food, and the proper preparation of the rice, fish, fresh wasabi, etc... then you MUST try this spot. And be prepared to become obsessed. PLUS you're supporting a small business - which makes it even better!”

★Yelp“My friend and I drove to the food hall for dinner on a Monday evening. The design district was pretty quiet, but it was still difficult to get metered parking and find the place. It's elevated on the third floor of the building so we you to take some stairs/escalators to get there. I chose Miami Nice out of the other options as I wasn't particularly starving and they had much more affordable options as well as croquettas which I recently enjoyed at another restaurant recently. You get four croquettas per order and they are about the size of a large hush-puppy. They will be blazing hot on the interior, so be careful taking that first bite or you may burn your lip like I did on that molten goodness inside it. I ate all four of them and did like to dip in the mustard that they provided. I think this is more of an appetizer than a meal due to most of it being liquidy. The recipe and presentation was much different than the type I had in Little Havana. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only frustration I had was that I got a bottle of soda, but it was $6 which I would have not ordered knowing that up front, so display of drink prices would have been appreciated. One tip I have is to get napkins when you order as the tables didn't seem to have any.”
Miami Nice
★Yelp“This restaurant is likely Miami's best kept secret. It's a culinary gem that's hides in plain sight. Located within the MIA Market, Tanaka Sensei works his sushi wizardry alongside a skeleton crew. I started with their omakase (chef's tasting) menu, and I'm telling you that if you like sushi even a little bit, you simply must come and try it. At $59 it's the best dining bargain in Miami, with 10 pieces of sushi plus a hand roll to finish. Oh, and they get everything right: the rice, the ginger, the service are all impeccable and enhance the experience. The venue itself is modest, being one of a number of kiosks surrounding the large dining area, making a sort of high-end food court. You order at the kiosk, then get a stanchion with a number on it and bring it back to your table. Service is polite and prompt. You can get tea or water from SYT, or alcohol from some of the other kiosks. My meal was perfect, but I was so amazed I had to try more. I followed up the omakase with the salmon special, which is 7 pieces each done differently but expertly. It costs $35 and is just as sublime as the omakase menu. I will certainly return as often as I can before this place moves to a new venue more fitting to its class.”

★Yelp“One of the best values I've seen for sushi in a while! Yes, the location is a little weird. However, if this is the trade off between a $59 10 piece omakase + hand roll vs this being a $140 meal, I would eat this in a parking lot. The quality is definitely top notch, and the chef here takes what he does seriously. It's a little hard to find - you have to walk up the escalator towards MIA Market, and it's in the back of MIA market. You pay at the counter, you get a number, and then you sit down nearby. There are two nicer booths that were empty when we got there, but there are also regular tables and high tops. They bring out the 10 pieces at once, so pace yourself lol. I thought this was an amazing value considering I got a tuna trio in there, a scallop nigiri, etc. hand roll was toro also! I would definitely return when I'm craving sushi and not trying to come out of my meal broke.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“How amazing it is to find a delicious option inside a food hall. This sushi counter spot inside Miami's Mia Market delivers high-quality food in an informal space, with outstanding service. They have a small menu, full of fresh and quality fish, some appetizers, and Omakase (10 pieces and one hand roll). They follow the idea of keeping it simple but delicious, the staff is very nice and always helping and explaining each piece of menu items. One of my favorite bites is the Uni & Ikura hand roll, the way that the fresh Uni melts with popping Ikura makes this hand roll a piece of heaven. If you are a sushi lover this will be your favorite spot in Miami.”

★Yelp“After walking the whole MIA market twice since it was my first time there, I decided Jaffa had to be it because of my wife's veganism and my love for Israeli and Middle Eastern food as a whole. Having been to Israel three times, most recently end of 2019, and having grown up with great spots in Puerto Rico and Boston, my experience with fresh hummus has led to a high standard and boy did they deliver. The meat kebabs and hummus were very well seasoned and filling. Cannot wait to go back and will likely call on them to cater an event in the future.”
Jaffa
★Yelp“very very impressed- i've had omakase before, and this by far was the one to exceed my expectations despite the more humble looking setting and more affordable omakase. every piece of fish was incredibly fresh and fragrant - and guess what, was fairly affordable. if you are looking to eat a great tasting omakase for not too much and without the showmanship that typically is associated w/omakase, then this is certainly the place to go to.”
Sushi Yasu Tanaka
★Yelp“HotLime is by FAR the best spot to eat at in St. Roch. From the service to the food, everything is on point! The tacos are to die for and are made to perfection every time!! I'm NEVER disappointed! I'd highly recommend the chicken and short rib tacos. There's also a server/cook by the name of Gabriela, she was super patient and gave the best recommendations!!”

★Yelp“I came here with my fiancé (a self-proclaimed undercover sushi critic). He said this is the best nigiri in the state of Florida, arguably in the entire country, possibly even North America. The quality of fish and rice (a critical yet under appreciated part of nigiri) was superb. If giving six stars was possible, Sushi Yasu Tanaka would deserve it.”

★Yelp“This has to be one of the best middle eastern spots I've tried in Miami. The hummus was out of this world. The baba ganouj was a burst of flavour. The platter was the perfect amount of food very filling and just amazing presentation. I went with the chicken shawarma. Definitely did not disappoint. Highly highly recommmend.”

★Yelp“Love this beautiful food hall. This ceviche place is pretty good. I ordered a classic ceviche, which I’m very happy about. The fish is very fresh and the taste is citrusy and light. The chips & salsa is just fine, maybe because I come from San Diego, so probably I have a high standard for that.”
